WESTERFIELD, Judge.

This is a suit by Amanda Williáms, widow of George Singleton, the daughter-beneficiary of James Williams, a deceased member of the Odd Fellows, a fraternal society, against the Grand Lodge of the Order, claiming $400 of a total death benefit of $500. Plaintiff’s claim is resisted upon the ground that Williams was not in-good standing at the time of his death and, in .the alternative, because the Grand Lodge had suspended the subordinate lodge of which Williams was a member and he had failed to comply with Section 8 of Article 1 of the by-laws of the Order which provided…
