This is a possessory action instituted by the Ree Corporation. The petition was. *508filed February 14, 1964, and an amended petition was filed on March 10, 1966. Therein plaintiff alleges that it is the owner of an undivided one-half interest in a certain tract of land in Terrebonne Parish, which it acquired in an Act of Exchange from Ernest E. Rogers; that in November and December, 1959 the named defendants (who are the heirs of Thomas A. Shaffer),1 pretending to be the owners executed mineral leases covering the entirety of the property in favor of Placid Oil Company;…
