-The Southern Railway Company reaches the City of Augusta, Georgia, from the South Carolina side of the Savannah river by a single track over a drawbridge capable of carrying only one track. About sixty feet from the southern abutment of the bridge, on the Georgia side of the river, a switch is inserted in the main-line track of the Southern Railway Company, which diverges toward its freight-depot and yards located between the intersection of Reynolds and Washington streets, and from this connection it furnishes also the railroad-tracks passing through its yards and across Center street and…
