A jury in the circuit court of McHenry County found defendant, Stacey Ann McLain, guilty of first degree murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 38, par. 9—1(a)(2)) and failure to stop after having an accident involving personal injury or death (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 95½, par. 11—401(a)). Defendant was sentenced to 32 years in prison for the murder conviction and 360 days for failure to stop, the terms to be served concurrently.
