CHAFIN NOVEMBER 14, 2024 COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA FROM THE COURT OF APPEALS OF VIRGINIA In this case, we consider whether a child’s out-of-court statements describing acts of sexual abuse were properly admitted into evidence pursuant to Code § 19.2-268.3. We also consider whether the appellant had a sufficient opportunity to confront and cross-examine the child who made the statements.
