The evidence presented at trial was without conflict that the appellant shot "Poochie" Campbell, on May 21, 1978. The dispute was whether the appellant shot in self-defense.

The evidence presented by the State indicated that the victim, Willard "Poochie" Campbell, along with the appellant's wife and two children, and others, had been riding in a car in Pritchard, Alabama.
