In a custody proceeding pursuant to Family Court Act article 6, the petitioner appeals from an order of the Family Court, Suffolk County (McElligott, J.), entered August 16, 2000, which, after a hearing, granted the respondent’s application to transfer temporary custody to him.

Ordered that the notice of appeal is deemed to be an application for leave to appeal, and leave to appeal is granted (see, Family Ct Act § 1112 [a]); and it is further,
