Grant Bryant petitions this court for a writ of certiorari seeking review of an order denying his motion to dismiss based on his permanent incompeteney. On February 26, 2008, Bryant was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a first-degree misdemeanor. On August 11, 2008, the court entered an order declaring Bryant incompetent to proceed because he is schizophrenic and under the care and treatment of a psychiatrist.
