This matter came on for trial before the undersigned on the 6th day of June, 1991, the plaintiff seeking damages for an injury sustained by him on November 18, 1987, while transferring from a fixed platform onto a vessel located in the Gulf of Mexico. Plaintiff claims that defendant Chevron U.S.A., Inc. was negligent in ordering him to swing from the platform to the vessel in rough weather conditions.
