The applicant, who is the widow of William C. Thier, deceased, made application for compensation as a dependent, under the workmen’s compensation law. There is no question that both the employer and employee were subject to that law. It was admitted that the ¿Etna Life Insurance Company had insured Henry W. Widdifield, the employer in the case, which insurance was in force at the time of the accident; that the deceased was in the employ of Widdifield at the time of his death; that the employer had due notice of the accident, and that claim for compensation was duly made; and that deceased was…
