This proseention was begun in the District Court of Maya-giiez on the 8th day of August, 1905. On a trial in that court the defendant was convicted of murder in the first degree, and *229sentenced to sutffer death., and on an appeal to- this Supreme Court, on the 30th day of June, 1906, the judgment was reversed, for errors in the charge of the trial court, and the cause remanded for a new trial. Then a change of venue was taken from the District Court of Mayagiiez to the District Court of San Juan, and the case was prosecuted to final judgment in the second section of that court.
