Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Broome County (Smith, J.), rendered July 31, 1996, convicting defendant upon his plea of guilty of the crime of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree.

*717Pursuant to a plea bargain agreement, defendant pleaded guilty to the crime of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree in full satisfaction of a four-count indictment that included a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree.
