The point in dispute herein is the validity of a lease executed on December 11, 1889, by David Ahlberg to the Lyons Rock Salt Company, giving the exclusive right to take salt from a tract of land that constituted a rural homestead. Mrs. Ahlberg, who occupied the land with her husband, did not sign the lease; and when told of it, about the time of its execution, remarked that it was wrong to sign things without her consent.
