Francisco G. Planas brought a suit for divorce against his wife, Ana Chambers, on the ground of desertion, and alleged that he was domiciled in San Juan and that “the defendant resides at present in the city of New York, State of New York, United States of America.” The complaint was filed and the summons issued on October 25, 1939.
