Some of the victims of the Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (“BLMIS”) Ponzi scheme did not invest directly with BLMIS. Instead, they invested in funds, sometimes called feeder funds, and the feeder funds then invested some or all of their assets with BLMIS.
