Dear Ms. Langley:

I am in receipt of your request for an Attorney General's opinion concerning state funds for nonpublic transportation to be distributed to the Pointe Coupee Parish School Board. You state that the recent supplementary Education Assistance Appropriation from Act 17 of the 1996 Regular Session of the Legislature includes $150,371 for nonpublic transportation to be distributed by the Pointe Coupee Parish School Board.
