Plaintiff in error married the widow of R. B. Ground, deceased, who bad, by her former husband, three children—Brittle, William and Richie Ground, and after the death of his wife, which occurred August 25,1879, the plaintiff in error became guardian of her children and entered into bond August 19, 1881. The plaintiff in error was married to Mrs. Ground on October 3,1877, and on the 8th of February, 1878, she mortgaged eighty acres of her real estate to secure the payment of a note for $2,000 for money borrowed by Bawson Bros., a firm composed of her husband and his brother, but was not a…
