I. INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND

As the facts of this case are labyrinthine, the Court will attempt to lay them out in some detail, as much for its own benefit as for the parties’.

A. The Debtor’s Assets

On November 17, 1987, the debtor, John Michael Stacy, III (“Stacy”), filed a Voluntary Petition for Relief under Chapter 11 of Title 11 of the United States Code.
