LOBRANO, Judge.

Defendant, Lester L. Roberts, was charged by bill of information with distribution of cocaine, a violation of Louisiana Revised Statute 40:967.

Defendant was arraigned on December 20, 1989 and pled not guilty. Defendant was tried on June 13, 1990 and was found guilty as charged by a twelve member jury. On June 20, 1990, defendant was sentenced to fifteen (15) years at hard labor. On January 11, 1991, the State filed a multiple bill of information pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statute 15:529.1 charging defendant with being a multiple offender.
