OPINION1

YOCK, Judge.

This is an action seeking compensation for a vaccine related injury to petitioner’s child, Manchester Tom, brought by his mother, Ann Tom, under the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, codified as amended, 42 U.S.C.A. §§ 300aa-l et seq. (West Supp.1990) (hereinafter “Act”). Petitioner received a series of four DPT vaccinations from 1979 through 1982, and on March 21, 1990, the special master found that two of these vaccinations *215caused separate and distinct compensable injuries.
