The county of Schuylkill forms a separate judicial district, and its courts are presided over by a president judge and two additional law judges. The defendant was tried upon an indictment which charged that he had willfully, unlawfully and fraudulently made a false return of the votes cast at a primary election and the trial resulted, on March 15, 1910, in a verdict of guilty as indicted.
