This is an action against the defendant corporation on a policy of insurance issued to one George H. Stansbury, insuring him against loss by fire, which policy covered a dwelling-house, granary, and barn, of which the insured was then the owner; and it is alleged that said buildings were totally destroyed by fire on the thirtieth day of October, 1886, and that the loss had been adjusted at $1,616.30, and had not been paid.
