We granted permission to appeal to determine whether income from a nonrecurring capital gain may be considered in determining a parent’s gross income for purposes of modifying child support. We hold that income from an isolated or “onetime” capital gain must be included in calculating gross income and that the trial court erred in dismissing the petition to modify child support.
