Petitioner Matthew S. Carlson, a Wisconsin state prisoner, seeks a writ of habe-as corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. He challenges his 2002 conviction of first-degree sexual assault of a child, for which he was sentenced to fifty-five years in prison.
