For some time prior to October 31, 1916, the Virginia Metal Culvert Company, Inc., had been engaged in the manufacture and sale of metal culverts. Its sales seem to have been confined principally to the States of Virginia and West Virginia, and its customers to railroad companies, counties, cities and towns. It had secured a line of credit with the appellant, and on October 31, 1916, it was indebted to the appellant in the sum of $16,126.
