This is a suit under the Workmen’s Compensation Acts of Louisiana, and is before us on a writ of review from the Court of Ax>peal, Second Circuit, 140 So. 842, 843.

Alex Daigle was drowned while in the employ of defendant. His mother and a sister, alleging dependency, brought suit to recover compensation for 300 weeks under section 8, Act No. 20 of 1914, as amended by Act No. 85 of 1926. In the alternative, they prayed for damages under article 2315 of the Civil Code.
