Defendants Melvin Colon, Devin Parsons, and many others were indicted for their involvement in the “Courtlandt Avenue Crew,” a racketeering enterprise in the Bronx. Parsons entered into a cooperation agreement with the Government. Before becoming a cooperating witness, Parsons was a self-professed gang member, drug dealer, and murderer. Prior to trial, Colon moved to compel the Government to produce Parsons’s Facebook posts.
