In this appeal, plaintiff, the Estate of Maxine M. Bass (“the estate”), through its administrators, Kevin Hall and Angela Hall Jones, claim that defendant, Whitney National Bank, formerly First National Bank of Houma (collectively referred to as “the bank”)2, acted negligently by failing to transfer assets of the estate into the Maxine Marie Bass Irrevocable Trust (“the trust”).3 The trust was created on April 10, 1997, naming the bank as trustee and Bass as the income and principal beneficiary of the trust.
