MEMORANDUM OPINION

HEYBURN, District Judge.

This matter is before the Court on motion of Defendants for summary judgment pursuant to Rule 56 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Pro se Plaintiff, Kenneth Arthur Smith, brought a section 1983 action against Defendants, Fred Shirley, Gary Lowry, and Mike Harper, who are jailers at the Barren County Correctional Facility claiming that during his incarceration Defendants intentionally inflicted injury upon him.
