These petitions arise out of a dismissed criminal action prosecuted by the office of the chief state’s attorney’s medicaid fraud control unit against *531Richard B. Weber, a physician. On December 22, 2003, the state’s attorney entered a nolle prosequi on a charge of larceny in the first degree pursuant to General Statutes § 53a-122 (a) (4), and the court, on Weber’s motion, dismissed the criminal action pursuant to General Statutes § 54-56b.
