The appeal is from a decree of the Surrogate’s Court of Steuben county in proceedings brought to construe the will of Thomas H. Chittick, deceased, dated January 22, 1919. The will directed his executor to sell his real property, the proceeds to become a part of the personal property for all purposes therein mentioned. After making certain specific legacies, the will disposed of the bulk of the estate in four paragraphs, numbered 11, 12,13 and 14, which contained the provisions sought to be construed. Paragraph 11 is as follows:
