CHÁVEZ, Chief Justice.

{1} Defendant D.W.B.H., Inc., d/b/a Santa Fe Mitsubishi (Mitsubishi), installed a used engine in Plaintiff Sandra Salazar’s car. Salazar sued Mitsubishi, alleging that the used engine smoked and lost oil from the moment the car was retrieved from Mitsubishi until it ultimately ceased to work approximately three months after its installation. Following a bench trial, the trial court found that Mitsubishi had breached express and implied warranties and violated the Unfair Practices Act (UPA), NMSA 1978, §§ 57-12-1 to -22 (1967, as amended through 1999), and awarded…
