Stanford N. Webster was convicted by a jury of unlawful distribution of cocaine, in violation of D.C.Code § 33-541(a) (1988). With the assistance of a new attorney, he filed a motion for a new trial pursuant to D.C.Code § 23-110 (1989), alleging ineffective assistance of trial counsel. The trial judge denied the motion without a hearing. In these consolidated appeals from his conviction and from the order denying his § 23-110 motion, he renews his claim of ineffective assistance.
