TURSI, Judge.

Defendant, David M. Beyer, appeals the imposition of consecutive aggravated range sentences following his convictions for attempted first degree murder, two counts of second degree kidnapping, and second degree assault. He challenges the trial court's conclusion that the nature of the crimes for which he was convicted required that mandatory sentences be imposed pursuant to § 16-11-309, C.R.S. (1986 Repl. Vol. 8A). We affirm.
