HAMITER, Justice.

In this mandamus proceeding relator, Albert T. Thompson, seeks to obtain reinstatement as one of the Judges of the Recorders’ Courts in the City of New Orleans and to compel payment of his salary of $350 per month, beginning May 15, 1946, and continuing until he legally occupies that position. Those impleaded as defendants are the members of the New Orleans Civil Service Commission, and also the Mayor, the members of the Commission Council, and the Director of Personnel, all of the City of New Orleans.
