Grant, a citizen and resident of Ohio, was appointed by the Common Pleas Court of Mahoning County in that State, receiver of the property and assets of the Struthers Furnace Co., an Ohio corporation. Thereafter, pursuant to an order of that court so directing, he brought this suit in equity against Leach & Co., a New York corporation, in the Federal District Court for the Eastern Division of the Northern District of Ohio, 1 to recover certain mort gage bonds of the Furnace Company, or their value.
