An improperly conducted criminal proceeding is a grave and serious matter, as much cause for concern and *918pause as child molestation. Fortunately, the unfair or improperly conducted criminal trial is preventable. This absolutely unique record is a flagrant infraction of first principles in the orderly administration of justice, and for that reason I respectfully urge the view that the ends of justice will be better served by the granting of a new trial.
