BENNETT, District Judge.

In this federal criminal ease, the defendant pleaded guilty to three counts of an indictment charging him with distribution of methamphetamine. The indictments followed controlled buys of methamphetamine from the defendant by a confidential informant. At sentencing, the government sought restitution of the “buy money” used by the confidential informant to purchase the methamphetamine from the defendant.
