The defendant William Pink Thomason was tried on a county attorney’s information charging him with the crime of carrying pistols in an automobile operated by him and others. He was convicted and sentenced to imprisonment at hard labor in the reformatory at Anamosa for the period of five years. On February 6, 1937, he perfected an appeal to the supreme court and posted an appeal bond with the National Surety Corporation of New York City as surety.
