Order, Supreme Court, New York County (Joan B. Lobis, J.), entered December 18, 2012, which denied defendants’ motion for summary judgment dismissing the complaint, unanimously affirmed, without costs.

On May 1, 2007, the decedent, Florence Lawler, was admitted to Mt. Sinai Hospital with a brain hemorrhage and fell into a coma. Mrs. Lawler had received an artificial mitral valve replacement (MVR) some 17 years earlier, for which she was taking Coumadin.
