This is an employment-discrimination case. The plaintiff asserts he was fired in violation of the Family and Medical Leave Act and in retaliation for filing a worker’s-compensation claim. The plaintiff filed the case in state court. The defendant removed the case to this court. The removal of the worker’s-compensation-retaliation claim raises a jurisdictional issue.
