This was a proceeding commenced by the appellant in the county court of Williamson county against the appellees, under the Eminent Domain act, to acquire title to a strip of land one hundred feet in width across the east end of the appellees’ farm, as a fight of way upon which to construct its railroad. The strip of land sought to be taken contained 10.93 acres. The jury fixed the value of the land taken at $1100 and the damage to the land not taken at $900, and the court, after overruling a motion for a new trial, rendered judgment upon the verdict, and an appeal has been prosecuted to this…
