This was an action for libel, against the plaintiff in error by the defendant in error. The declaration charged that the plaintiff in error composed and caused to be published in the Chicago Times-Herald, a daily newspaper published in the city of Chicago, a certain false, scandalous, defamatory and libelous article, set forth in hcec verba, with appropriate innuendoes, in the declaration. The article is quite lengthy, and it is not necessary to the proper disposition of the case it should be recited in this opinion.
