FINCH, Judge.

Defendants appeal from a judgment for plaintiff for $20,000.00. Jurisdiction of this court is conferred by the amount involved.

This case arises out of a collision which occurred on February 24, 1961, at about 1:00 A.M., on U„S. Highway 40 at á point about three and one-half miles east of the city limits of Odessa, Missouri. At that point the highway was approximately 24 feet wide and carried both east and westbound traffic.
