OPINION

OVARD, Justice.

Donna Gaulden appeals from a summary judgment in favor of appellee, United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company (USF & G). Gaulden sued for benefits she claims are due her pursuant to the uninsured motorists provisions of her automobile insurance policy. In its answer and motion for summary judgment, USF & G denied it owed' benefits, claiming a policy exclusion based on a settlement and release executed by Gaulden.
