CHATFIELD, District Judge.
In the year 1907 the Oceana, a new iron steamship, started from Glasgow, Scotland, andj after a voyage through the Suez Canal to Hong Kong, returned to Calcutta, and thence proceeded to Colombo, Ceylon, with certain cargo in what was called the “bridge deck space” and “hold No. 3.” This cargo was discharged at Colombo, and the spaces indicated filled with other goods for a voyage to Boston and New York.
