M-44 is a State trunk highway running in an easterly and westerly direction through Ionia county, is cement 20 feet in width, flanked by shoulders and is divided by a black line in the center. At the northwest corner of the intersection of M-44 and a north and south township road is located the Greene schoolhouse. To the east of the schoolhouse on M-44 the highway is straight and level with no obstructions.
