The plaintiff, a boy under sixteen years of age, brought this action in the name of his guardian ad litem against this defendant, to' recover damages for a personal injury sustained by him while confined as a prisoner by the defendant, having been required to do some work in a laundry in which a machine called a “ steam mangle ” was in operation in doing the work. The plaintiff was assigned to duty in operating the mangle, assisted by another boy.
