Presently before the Court is the BMW defendants’ motion for reconsideration of a portion of the Court’s ruling in its Order dated May 1, 2006. For the reasons set forth below, the Court grants defendants’ motion.

Background

This is a product liability action brought by plaintiff, Christopher Reid, against BMW of North America (BMW NA), Bay-erische Motoren Werk Aktiengelsellschaft (BMW AG) (collectively “the BMW defendants”), and Does 1-100.
