On March 27, 2009, plaintiff Alexina Simon (“Simon”) commenced this § 1983 action against defendants the City of New York, New York City Police Department (“NYPD”) Detective Douglas Lee, Sergeant Evelyn Alegre, and Queens County Assistant District Attorney (“ADA”) Francis Longobardi. On October 19, 2011, summary judgment was granted for defendants on the ground of absolute immunity, and the case was dismissed. Plaintiff appealed.
